This Picture Is 100% Pure Awesome

There really isn’t a whole hell of a lot to say about this picture that the picture doesn’t already say itself. It would be like saying “Food is good.” Well, no shit food is good.

The back story is slightly disappointing, to us, at least. The bear lives in a zoo in St. Louis. A veteran wildlife photographer set up his camera and tripod and pointed it at the bear, who was just hanging out in a tree. The bear yawned, and the photographer snapped a picture. What he ended up getting was the shot above. When the bear opened its mouth a foot-long tongue flopped out.

Sadly, that story can’t live up to what we imagined when we first saw the picture. We like to think the bear had just gotten his first look at Jessica Rabbit. All it’s missing is a massive heart pounding out of his chest about 4 feet, then slamming back in to him with a fury over and over.
