I don’t know what it is about work safety videos and the people who make them, but why is it that they all end up looking like Sam Raimi horror movies?

This is one of those videos where I really, really wish it had been made this way on purpose. If it were, I’d know that out there somewhere is a disgruntled safety video director that’s trying to break in to the world of film comedy, but just can’t quite write a good enough script, so he just injects every safety video a company pays him for with the most absurd schlock imaginable. Kind of like he’s mocking them to their faces. But, in the end, all the companies think the guy is a safety video genius and they just keep coming to him with work. Meanwhile, he’s living the miserable life of a filmmaker that’s stuck doing stuff he doesn’t want to do, and all the fame and fortune that comes along with being a world class work safety video director feels cheap and undeserved to him.
