“Miss Me Yet?” Billboard = Gigantic Waste Of Money
By Luis PradaIt’s hard to believe that George W. Bush’s presidency ended a year ago. Damn thing felt like an eternity. As some of our more lucid readers may be aware, Barack Obama is now president. Now, depending on which cable news channel you watch, Barack’s presidency thus far has either been a ruthless dictatorship that plots kill millions of old people, or it’s been the last bastion of intelligence and civility in a world where both of those qualities are dying and being slowly replaced with episodes of Jersey Shore.
Basically, the United States is just as politically divided as ever. This is further proven by some asshole that bought some billboard space and slapped up a picture of a dim looking George Bush parried with the phrase “Miss Me Yet?”
The real issue to report in this entire story is that fact that we just don’t give a shit about it. Sure, GWB will more than likely be looked upon by historians of the future as the man that almost single-handedly destroyed America’s reputation as the world’s financial and moral leader – which makes the subject of the billboard so ironic. But, really, who fucking cares? His reign of idiocy is over and the only reason a person would want to go back to it is if they liked being that person in high school that picked on everyone and was incredibly unpopular, yet feels that acting like a bigger asshole is the only sure fire way to win back everyone’s hearts. In that sense, people that want to go back to those days are like women that get routinely punched in the face by their significant others’, and then claim that he was just viciously and maliciously pounding their skull in because he was doing what was best for the relationship.

It just boggles my mind that someone actually spent money on that gigantic waste of space.
